Drift Assesment #2

2. Describe, with details, two situations during Drift 1 and/or 2 in which you felt unusually peaceful, at ease, or contemplative.

One situation in which I felt peaceful was when I went on my second drift. I was walking down the hill on Maryland ave., and I could see more of the city than I am used to being able to see. It was early evening, and I paused for a minute and looked at what I could see, and it gave me a perspective on the city that I had never had. It made me feel that it had, in a way, become my city.

Another time in which I felt at ease was on my first drift. I had deviated a bit from my path to walk down an alleyway. There was snow on the ground, but it had melted enough for me to see the brick road that was underneath. It was afternoon, and I looked around and everything seemed at peace, putting me at ease.
