1. Describe two situations that aggravated, bothered, shocked or otherwise stressed you during Drift 1 or 2. (Please note that the situation CANNOT be technology-related.)
One situation that I found frustrating on my drifts occurred on the first one. As I walked along my path, I was struck with the feeling that every sound I was recording was similar to others I already had. I felt that the sounds I was encountering were lacking in variety. I found this particularly frustrating because I also sensed that the sounds I had were going to be very similar to ones that other people had found on theirs.
Another situation that was aggravating was something I noticed while out on my second drift. I chose as one of my strategies to take photos of garbage. When I went out in to the neighborhoods around my apartment, I realized how much garbage there was. I literally couldn’t take two steps with out seeing a bunch of garbage on the ground. It was an interesting paradox, because I was I was disgusted by the waste, I was collecting a lot of footage.
